On the afternoon of October 11th, in Ha Long City, Ha Long Bay Management Department welcomed and worked with the delegation of Cao Bang Non Nuoc Geopark Management Board that led by Mr. Vi Tran Thuy, Director of the Management Board. Mr. Nguyen Trung Hau, Deputy Director of Ha Long Bay Management Department together with representatives of some specialized divisions under the Department as well as representatives of some enterprises operating socio-economic activities on Ha Long Bay worked with the delegation.

On September 26th, Ha Long Bay Management Department issued Notice No. 989/TB-BQLVHL on continuing to strengthen waste collection in Ha Long Bay.

In early September 2024, storm No. 3 (YAGI) caused severe damage to Quang Ninh province, including Ha Long Bay. Strong winds for many hours during the storm and rain circulation after the storm destroyed a significant part of the flora on the limestone islands. This poses many potential risks of landslides in the Bay.
