On April 9th and 11th, 2025, during checking on the Bay, the Ha Long Bay Violation Handling and Inspection Team, in coordination with the Waterway Police Team and the Traffic Police Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Police (referred to collectively as the inter-agency task force), detected and handled three vessels illegally transporting tourists for squid fishing on Ha Long Bay.
Starting from May 1st, 2025, Ha Long Bay Management Department will begin collecting entrance fees for scenic sightseeing on three routes: VHL6, VHL7, and VHL8 in Ha Long Bay.

At noon on April 1st, on Ha Long Bay, the working team at Sung Sot cave found a blue backpack. Upon inspection, the bag contained a green wallet, two bank cards and a sum of Vietnamese Dong and foreign currency.
