Man - Head Islet

Ha Long Bay is often compared to a giant, vivid ink painting, featuring thousands of limestone islands rising from clear blue waters, along with a rich and mysterious system of caves. Against the backdrop of the blue sea and sky lies the green carpet of vegetation covering the limestone mountains. This beauty is further enhanced by countless islands with unique and diverse shapes.
Although the rocky islands may seem rough and rugged, many of them display soft and lively forms. Visitors to Ha Long Bay are familiar with famous islands like Stone Dog Islet, Incense Burner Islet, Cock and Hen Islet, and Duckling Islet. However, there is one island, often referred to as the “portrait,” that is less known to tourists, Man- Head Islet.

Located in the heart of Ha Long Bay, Man - Head Islet is close to several famous attractions such as Titop Island, Luon Cave, and Sung Sot Cave. Standing about 25 meters tall, Man - Head Islet has a unique shape that resembles a man's head. Visitors can clearly admire the finely carved natural features of the rock, which perfectly depict facial details such as a large nose, a high bridge, a broad forehead, and deep-set eyes gazing out to the sea. Many people have likened it to the image of the Egyptian Sphinx.

Man - Head Islet is sculpted by nature with both strong and gentle lines. The harsh, sharp edges of the rock are softened by patches of green vegetation, creating a graceful, flowing, and poetic appearance.

Man - Head Islet - a "portrait" rising from the sea amidst the vast waters of Ha Long Bay - is an interesting check-in spot that visitors should not miss on their journey through the Bay.
