For nearly 30 years since it was first recognized as a World Natural Heritage, Quang Ninh has always identified Ha Long Bay as a treasure bestowed by nature, an important driving force for tourism development and transformation of the growth model in the economic structure. Therefore, the process of exploiting and promoting the value of heritage, conservation and preservation work has always been of interest to Quang Ninh province.

It has been 30 years since Ha Long Bay was recognized as a World Natural Heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Within the framework of the International Strategy for Natural Disaster Reduction of the United Nations General Assembly, on November 10th, 2024, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Vietnam coordinated with the UNESCO Office in Hanoi to organize an Inter-sectoral Assessment Team, including ICOMOS risk assessment and management experts, representatives of the Department of Cultural Heritage, and UNESCO Office in Hanoi, to carry out a program to assess and verify the level of impact and damage that caused by Typhoon Yagi to world heritage sites and nominated heritage sites in Quang Ninh province, including Ha Long Bay. Mr. Pham Dinh Huynh, Deputy Director of Ha Long Bay Management Department, represented the Department's Leadership to welcome and work with the Delegation.

Deep inside the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay is an extremely rich cave system, including many beautiful and famous caves that are welknown to many tourists. There are caves with wild beauty but captivating and attractive to tourists. That is Ho Dong Tien Cave.

On October 29th, the Ha Long Bay Management Department coordinated with the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police to organize a training conference and guidance on the implementation of network security and information security in 2024 for leaders, officers and employees of the Department.

On October 28th, Ha Long Bay Management Department organized a program to train fire prevention and fighting skills in 2024 for the Department's employees. The program was attended by 87 employees from divisions under the Department.

On the morning of October 21st, at Ha Long International Cruise Port, Quang Ninh province held an important event, welcoming the 3 millionth international tourist to the province in 2024.

On the morning of October 16th, the Ha Long Bay Management Department returned property to tourists who left it behind at the Ha Long International Cruise Port.

From October 10th to October 16th, the Ha Long Bay Management Department organized a training course on giao duyen singing to preserve and promote the cultural values ​​of fishing villages in Ha Long Bay for 12 employees of the Department. Participating in the training were Meritorious Artist Duong Thi Gai and People's Artist Nguyen Thi Chac (Thanh Trac).
