On December 15th, in Ha Long city, the World Heritage Sites Club in Vietnam held a conference to review the activities of the club in 2024.

On the evening of December 14, at the Vietnam-Japan Labor Culture Palace in Ha Long City, Quảng Ninh Province organized a special program to mark the 30th anniversary of Ha Long Bay being recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site (December 17, 1994 - December 17, 2024).

As a key economic sector of the region, Ha Long tourism is facing many challenges in cultural heritage preservation, heritage conservation, and environmental degradation. In light of this, the development of sustainable tourism with a focus on green growth is seen as a necessary direction to avoid "draining" the heritage, while also enhancing the region's competitiveness in the integration process.

The miraculous arrangement of nature has created Ha Long Bay, which carries the beauty of a picturesque landscape, resembling a one-of-a-kind ink painting in the world.

A "mountain-to-sea" journey leaves a strong impression on tourists, making them always want to return to Quang Ninh.

According to assessments, Ha Long Bay ranks among the most famous heritage sites globally and is the top tourist attraction in Quang Ninh, with nearly 60 million visitors having visited the site over the past 30 years.

Ha Long Bay has been recognized as a World Natural Heritage site three times. To achieve this prestigious title, Quang Ninh province has made great efforts in the conservation and sustainable development of the Heritage, especially in preserving the Bay's environment amidst numerous difficulties and challenges.

n December 10, Ha Long Bay Management Department, in cooperation with relevant agencies and authorities, organized the destruction of 45,400 illegal plastic fish cages used for aquaculture in Ha Long Bay.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ha Long Bay being designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, on December 14, 2024, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province will organize a commemorative program at the Vietnam-Japan Labor Cultural House in Ha Long City.
