Ho Dong Tien Cave

Deep inside the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay is an extremely rich cave system, including many beautiful and famous caves that are welknown to many tourists. There are caves with wild beauty but captivating and attractive to tourists. That is Ho Dong Tien Cave.

Ho Dong Tien Cave is located on the east side of Bo Hon Island that belongs to tourist route number 2 in Ha Long Bay, it is about 14 kilometers long from Tuan Chau International Marrina. The cave belongs to the Karst cave system that located at an altitude of 0-5 meters above sea level. 

Going through the cave, there is a small lake discreetly surrounded by the mountain. According to legend, this is a place with beautiful mountains and rivers, but deserted,  in beautiful afternoons, fairies often come together to bathe and cool off in the lake. Therefore, the people around the area named the cave as Ho Dong Tien Cave.

Ho Dong Tien Cave is not large, it is about 650 square meters. However, the stalactites are delicately and elaborately carved by nature with majestic and magnificent lines. The cave walls are decorated with a system of soft stone curtains with a light yellow color like a stage curtain. Each cluster of stone bells forms colorful chandeliers suspended on the cave’s ceiling. The sparkling, magical stalactites in the cave are concentrated towards the inside of compartment 3, where there is a large cluster of stone bells hanging down, below the stone bell is like a small, pretty volcano, inside is a pearl soaked in a kind of "pure water" and is called Chen Ngoc.

Adding to the scenery of Ho Dong Tien Cave is the Ang Tien located in the heart of the island, surrounded by cliffs covered with a rich carpet of vegetation, creating a mysterious, peaceful and charming beauty. The harmony between the scenery in the cave and the wild space of Ang Tien creates a unique mark for Ho Dong Tien Cave.
