The First Day of Implementation of Visitor Identification and Authentication Information Services for Hạ Long Bay
Today, 10 December, marks the first day of implementation of the provision of visitor identification and authentication information for tourists visiting Hạ Long Bay.

According to on-site observations at the two ports—Ha Long International Passenger Port and Tuan Chau International Passenger Port—although a small number of visitors initially expressed some concern about providing personal information, once informed that such information is collected solely for the purpose of managing tourism activities on Ha Long Bay in accordance with current regulations, and that data security, privacy and visitors’ rights are fully ensured, while also meeting the requirements of digital transformation in electronic ticket management and enhancing safety and security throughout the visitors’ journey, the vast majority of tourists willingly and cooperatively provided their information. The entire ticket-purchasing process on the first day of implementation proceeded smoothly and efficiently, without congestion.

In addition to communication and dissemination through mass media, the official website halongbay.com.vn, and the Fanpage of the Hạ Long Bay – Yen Tu World Heritage Department, on-site communication activities were also conducted directly with visitors at the tourist ports.
As of 3:00 p.m. on 10 December, Hạ Long Bay had welcomed a total of 9,874 visitors, including 424 domestic visitors and 9,450 international visitors; identification and authentication data had been collected from 63.8% of the visitors.
It is expected that by 1 January 2026, 100% of visitors to Hạ Long Bay will complete the identification and authentication process through the application of information technology in the ticketing system, with the aim of enhancing management efficiency and ensuring the safety and security of visitors throughout their journey on the Bay.
