Over 12,000 Visitors to Ha Long Bay on the First Day of the New Year 2026
On the first day of the New Year, 1 January 2026, Ha Long Bay welcomed 12,113 visitors, an increase of 32.47 percent compared to the same period in 2025. Of these, 10,467 were international visitors and 1,646 were domestic tourists, with a total of 439 boat departures. Total revenue exceeded VND 3.6 billion.

With more than 80% of visitors being international tourists during this period, Ha Long Bay continues to be an attractive destination for foreign travelers. The most popular attractions on Ha Long Bay remain Sung Sot Cave, Luon Cave, Me Cung Cave, and Titop Island.

To prepare for receiving visitors during the 2026 New Year holiday, the Ha Long Bay – Yen Tu World Heritage Management Department has mobilized maximum personnel and equipment, particularly in ticket sales and control, security, environmental sanitation, and inspection and violation handling. Comprehensive measures have been implemented to ensure safety, security and public order, search and rescue readiness, environmental protection, as well as visitor information services.
