The delegation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR visits Ha Long Bay.

During his visit and working trip to Quang Ninh Province, on the afternoon of December 19, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Mr. Thongxavanh Phomvihane, accompanied by his spouse, paid a visit to Ha Long Bay, a World Natural Heritage site. The delegation was received by Mr. Mai Vu Tuan, Head of the Ha Long Bay – Yen Tu World Heritage Management Department.

The delegation visited Thien Cung Cave, one of the most renowned and spectacular caves in Ha Long Bay, and admired the early-winter scenery of the Bay while passing iconic landmarks such as Cho Da Islet (Stone Dog Islet), Incense Burner Islet, and Fighting Cocks Islet.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR conveyed his pleasure at visiting Ha Long Bay and extended his sincere appreciation for the warm and respectful reception provided by Quang Ninh Province in general, and by the Ha Long Bay – Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board in particular.

To ensure security and safety for the visit, the Ha Long Bay – Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board closely coordinated with relevant functional agencies to strengthen patrols and controls, maintain public order, ensure environmental protection, and provide search and rescue readiness across Ha Long Bay.

Following the visit to Ha Long Bay, the delegation continued its working program with various activities in Quang Ninh Province.
