Repeated Discoveries of Illegal Fishing Vessels in Ha Long Bay
Recently, authorities have continuously detected and handled cases of illegal fishing vessels operating in Ha Long Bay.
Specifically, on August 11, the Inspection and Violation Handling Team of Ha Long Bay Management Department discovered two vessels using prohibited fishing gear in the area between Dau Go Island and Reu Island.
On August 13, in the area between Reu Island and Trong Mai Islet, the Hon Gai Port Border Guard Station, in coordination with the Ha Long Bay Inspection and Violation Handling Team, detected and dealt with two vessels violating regulations by fishing in the prohibited core zone of Ha Long Bay.


Together with other relevant authorities, the Ha Long Bay Inspection and Violation Handling Team (under the Ha Long Bay Management Department) regularly conducts patrols and inspections to promptly detect violations.
The handling of violating fishing vessels in Ha Long Bay aims to protect the environment, conserve biodiversity, and ensure safety and order within the Bay.
