Fishing Vessel Detected Operating in the Core Zone of the Heritage Site

At 9:00 PM on June 29, in the inland waterway area in front of Sun beach (coordinates: 20°56.386’N, 107°03.117’E), the Inspection and Enforcement Team of the Ha Long Bay Management Department discovered a wooden fishing vessel illegally engaged in fishing and harvesting aquatic resources.

The vessel is anchored at Ben Doan port awaiting handover to the competent authorities for further processing.

At the time of inspection, the fishing vessel was found to be conducting fishing activities within the core zone of Heritage Site. The violating vessel, bearing the registration number QN0727-TS, was operated by Ngô Thanh H (born 1995), residing in Quang Yen, Quang Ninh.

Immediately afterward, the task force proceeded to draw up a report and instructed the captain to bring the vessel to Ben Doan Port to complete the paperwork and hand it over to the Hon Gai Border Guard Station for handling in accordance with regulations.
