Temporary suspension of watercraft that operated and overnight stay on the sea

 

The Inland Waterway Port Authority and the Inland Waterway Vehicle Registry have just issued official dispatch No. 618/CVĐTNĐ-ATQLKCHT dated June 13, 2025, regarding prevention and response measures to the impact of Storm No. 1 - WUTIP.

 

In Ha Long Bay: Suspension of overnight boats; Tourist boats must return to shore before 6:00 PM on June 13, 2025

 

 

Accordingly, the issuance of permits for vessels operating and staying overnight at sea on June 13 has been temporarily suspended under the directive of the Standing Office of the Quang Ninh Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense.

For tourist boats operating in Ha Long Bay: overnight permits are suspended; all tourist boats must return passengers to the mainland before 6:00 PM on June 13, 2025.

For tourist boats operating in the Minh Chau – Co To area: VR-SB class vessels must cease operations before 1:00 PM on June 13, 2025; Limited Coastal II-class vessels must cease operations before 6:00 PM on the same day.

To ensure the safety of people, vehicles, and property during the period of storm impact, the Inland Waterway Port Authority and the Inland Waterway Vehicle Registry have also requested port representatives to closely monitor storm developments and regularly inform vessel owners and captains. They are also instructed to review currently operating vessels, require captains and owners to stay updated on weather conditions, maintain communication, take proactive safety measures for people and property, and seek shelter in designated storm-safe areas.
