“Green Sunday” on the Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago Heritage Site
On May 25, the Cat Ba Management Board, in coordination with the Ha Long Bay Management Department, organized the “Green Sunday” event, focusing on collecting and removing floating waste across the Bay areas of the Cat Ba Archipelago and the border regions between Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba.
The activity saw the participation of more than 80 individuals from various forces, including the Cat Ba Border Guard Station, Cat Hai District Youth Union, Cat Hai District Military Command, and the Ha Long Bay Management Department. On the same morning, cleanup efforts were deployed at key locations such as Ben Beo - Cap Quan, Cat Lut Beach, Lan Ha - Van Ta - Tra Bau (bordering Conservation Center II, Ha Long Bay), and Gia Luan - Tra Bau (adjacent to Conservation Center I, Ha Long Bay).
This initiative aimed to raise awareness among the community and tourists about the importance of protecting the values of the Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago World Heritage site. It also promoted the message: “Joining hands for a clean, green, and beautiful Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago Heritage; Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago: a green destination, a new adventure.”
The event was also held in response to World Environment Day, Vietnam Sea and Island Week, World Oceans Day, and the 2025 Month of Action for the Environment.
