Contributing to the development of Ha Long City - the City of Flowers, the Green City on the edge of the Heritage

In order to contribute to the development of Ha Long City, the City of Flowers, the Green City on the edge of the Heritage, and with the collaboration of many units, departments, and localities, Ha Long Bay Management Department has carried out various tree planting activities on Ha Long Bay.

Mr. Vu Kien Cuong, Director of  Ha Long Bay Management Department, launched the Spring tree Planting Festival of the Year of the Snake.

Tree planting at the beginning of the Year of the Snake was the first activity of 2025. During this event, the Department organized the planting of additional trees and flowers at various tourist spots on Ha Long Bay to enhance the landscape and create photo opportunities for visitors.

Mr. Nguyễn Trung Hậu, Deputy Director of Ha Long Bay Management Department, along with the workers, planted trees at the tourist spots on the Bay.

These activities not only enhance the beauty and aesthetic value of the Heritage site at the tourist spots, restore the environmental landscape affected by Typhoon YAGI, but also preserve the value of endemic plant species, contributing to the protection of biodiversity for Ha Long Bay. To date, 800 saplings of various species, such as Bông Mộc, Trai lý, Tra, Lát Hoa, Ban, and Me rừng, have been planted on Ha Long Bay.

In addition, to preserve the endemic plant species on Ha Long Bay, the Department has researched and propagated the Ha Long Cycas species. This plant grows sporadically on the cliff faces and is well-adapted to the environmental and climatic conditions of the islands in Ha Long.

Not only contributing to increasing the greenery on Ha Long Bay, in the future, Ha Long Bay Management Department will continue to carry out tree planting, flower planting, and creating small landscapes at working sites and the main office of the Department.

With the aim of adding more greenery to the Heritage site and to Ha Long, the activities of Ha Long Bay Management Department contribute to the development of Ha Long City - the City of Flowers, creating a beautiful urban landscape that attracts both domestic tourists and international friends.
