Ha Long in the season of Red Leaves

As autumn passes, it feels like the trees are shedding their old leaves, revealing the vibrant, strong beauty of the bare branches clinging to the cliffs. When the monsoon winds bring the cool air, it’s also the time when the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay don a new coat - a bright red hue from the Red-leafed trees, standing out against the vast, blue sky and clear waters. These round-leafed trees, stretching from the rocky cliffs, add a shimmering and poetic touch to the beauty of Ha Long Bay.

On sunny days, the red leaves of the trees become even more vibrant, attracting the attention of visitors as the boats gently glide by. Some trees grow near the water, weaving through the mountain crevices, while others are found at mid-levels of the mountains, and some even stretch up from the peaks of towering cliffs. The rocky mountains along the coastal road are also ablaze with the bright red leaves of the trees, racing to add their colors to the beautiful landscape of the city by the heritage coastline.

The leaf-changing season lasts only a few months and is considered by photographers to be the most beautiful time of the year for Ha Long Bay. To witness and capture these magnificent moments, visit Ha Long Bay when the weather is cool, and you’ll be warmed by the red hues of the trees.
