The Conference for Summarizing the work of 2024 and Setting directions for 2025
On December 30th, Ha Long Bay Management Department held a conference for employees to review the work of 2024 and implement tasks for 2025. The conference was attended by 138 employees of the Department.

In 2024, Ha Long Bay Management Department continued to effectively implement the tasks assigned by the province and focused on carrying out the agency's work program for the year, aligned with the 2024 theme of the province of Quang Ninh. The main focus was advising the provincial People's Committee on building the task to develop a master plan for the preservation, restoration, and conservation of the Ha Long Bay scenic area for the period 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050, and formulating a proposal to adjust the boundary of Ha Long Bay.
Efforts to study and protect the heritage values were strengthened, particularly after Storm No. 3 (YAGY). A total of 242 environmental monitoring sessions were conducted in the coastal and Ha Long Bay areas. In cooperation with relevant authorities, 212 patrols, inspections, and monitoring were organized, resulting in 171 violations being dealt with. From January 1, 2024, to December 15, 2024, the total number of visitors to Ha Long Bay exceeded 3 million, with over 1.8 million international visitors. 811 guided tours were organized, serving more than 20,000 visitors, and information was provided to nearly 25,000 visitors.
Ha Long Bay Management Department will continue to effectively implement the resolutions and programs of the province regarding tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, in line with the theme for 2025, focusing on preserving and promoting the values of Ha Long Bay. This aligns with the goal of green development, contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the province in the era of Vietnam's rise. At the conference, the Department also outlined key tasks such as advising on the completion of plans and proposals for heritage management and protection, continuing to implement decisions made by the World Heritage Committee in meetings 45 and 46 regarding heritage management and conservation, reviewing and revising coordination regulations for managing Ha Long Bay between the Department and related sectors, units, and localities, continuing scientific research on Ha Long Bay, and enhancing solutions for managing and protecting the environment of Ha Long Bay.




The conference also recognized and rewarded 09 organizations with the title of Advanced Labor Collective, 09 organizations with Certificates of Merit for achievements in work and emulation movements in 2024, 67 individuals with the title of Grassroots Emulation Fighters, and 53 individuals for their outstanding contributions in work and emulation movements in 2024../.
