Training and teaching of giao duyen singing to preserve and promote the cultural values of fishing villages in Ha Long Bay

From October 10th  to October 16th, the Ha Long Bay Management Department organized a training course on giao duyen singing to preserve and promote the cultural values of fishing villages in Ha Long Bay for 12 employees of the Department. Participating in the training were Meritorious Artist Duong Thi Gai and People's Artist Nguyen Thi Chac (Thanh Trac).

Giao duyen singing on Ha Long Bay includes dum singing, cheo singing and wedding singing with many forms and melodies. During the program, students were not only taught traditional giao duyen singing but also practiced vocal techniques and performance techniques in serving tourists. Each lyric, each rhythm is carefully combined with each movement... helping students become more and more confident in performing giao duyen singing.

Teaching giao duyen singing aims to preserve the unique culture of the fishing community in Ha Long Bay, preserve the unique intangible cultural values, and at the same time create more resources for giao duyen singing in Ha Long Bay, contributing to improving service quality, enhancing the experience for tourists visiting and enjoying cultural tourism products in Ha Long Bay.
