Bo Nau Cave
Bo Nau cave is a destination in route 2 in Ha Long Bay, about 13 km from Tuan Chau International Marina and 11 km from Ha Long International Passenger Port. According to some French documents and Vietnamese newspapers in the beginning of the 20th century, Bo Nau cave is one of the earliest known in Ha Long bay and regarded as a place with beautiful landscape and an attractive destination for tourists at that time. Bo Nau cave is one of caves early known by nature lovers through a famous photo taken from the inner of the cave facing outward. The photo shows the entrance of Bo Nau cave with stalactites hanging down. In front of the entrance is a green mountain range undulating on the pure and emerald water.In the middle of this picturesque landscape is an outstanding image of a red sail. This photo was taken by photographer Nguyen Duy Kien in 1958 and has become one of the best photos of Ha Long bay.
