Dinh Huong Islet (Lu Huong Islet)

     Dinh Huong islet is in routes no. 1 and 5 in Ha Long bay, in the middle of the route in Ba Hang area, about 2,5 km from Tuan Chau International Marina and 8,5 km from Ha Long International Passenger Port. It has the shape of an incense burner. When the tide is low, Dinh Huong islet reveals its foot that has been eroded by seawater for millions years. This image typically demonstrates the process of marine erosion into the foot of limestone islands in Ha Long bay. When the tide is high, the foot of the islet is hidden. Then, Dinh Huong islet looks like a shield protecting boats, fishermen and tourists. With its spiritual meaning, Dinh Huong islet is considered an islet of luck.
